Designing with Web Content Management in Mind
3/1/2003
“Designing with Web Content Management in Mind” is the first of an ongoing educational series geared for managers of design firms and web design departments of advertising agencies. The seminar is being hosted by the developers of Aquifer™, the content management system recently selected by the Association of Professional Design Firms (APDF) to power their public site.
Subject matter covered will include discussion of agency business development in light of content management automation and provide practical tips on how to regear best design practices for rapidly changing web content, from navigation strategies, to stylesheet tips, understanding limits of WYSIWYG, and more. Strategic managers of agency business development and creative directors alike will get practical advice on how to solidify client relationships by harnessing the power of emerging web content management technologies.
This half-hour seminar will include time for participant questions. No additional software is required for attendees—simply a functional web browser, Internet, and phone connections.
Following the seminar, participants are invited to also attend a 20 minute web demonstration of Aquifer, arguably the only full-featured web content management system that can be installed and accepting web site content in hours. Aquifer was developed with extensive input from Web Designers such as yourself, Marketing Communications specialists and others with responsibilities to maintain fresh content on Internet, Intranet, and Extranet sites. Aquifer enables companies to maintain the design integrity of their web sites while also expediting unlimited content updates to unlimited numbers of company web sites by entirely non-technical and non-design savvy content contributors.
